Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It occasionally shoots small puffs of smoke from its nose, like it’s trying to breathe fire.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Elven word for "fire" is Brisingyr, which is this young hatchling's name.  Being a fire dragon, Brisingyr always seems to enjoy a challenge.  He was frozen shortly after hatching, so as to prevent him from dying before reaching adulthood.  He is very close to his foster brother, Esingyr, and will always have Esingyr's back.  Brisingyr can be a little bad tempered if he is provoked.  And he becomes very protective if Esingyr is being picked on.  Though Brisingyr has almost no strength, he makes up for it with his wit and fierceness in thinking.
