Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A fairly young dragon, River-of-Light is usually playful and curious with those who encounter him.  Silver dragons tend to be monogamous, and he is no exception.  His chosen mate, Silvergrin, may be a poor selection as Silvergrin's penchant for violent and destructive relationships was almost as legendary as her overall viciousness.  But that was another life, and for now River-of-Light impresses her by driving off all the other males while giving her enough space out-of-season that she does not grow cross with him.  Perhaps even Silvergrin's stormy heart is moved by his beauty, light, and love.
