And look! Its wings have grown large enough that it can now fly. It hardly ever leaves the air now.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little dragon is the Master's most beloved and trusted messenger. He is fast and sly. These characteristics contribute greatly to his courtier abilities. Thus, if one could catch a sight of this dragon, it is common to see a letter clutched in its mouth or in a strap wrapping around him.
