Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Xiraxi was the third dragon to be hatched in the Myste caverns. She watched as Nacht'Larn struggled with his chills, and as Myste tried his best to warm the dragonling. Xiraxi would always shift where she sat, having never experienced the bone-numbing chill of being totally alone. As she grew, and her fur grew in, the concerns of the two elder dragons grew even more mysterious to her. Fortunately for any possible conflict, looking after the other young ones took most of her time. That which wasn't spent dozing comfortably on one of the ledges in the main cave, at least. Almost as soon as she finished maturing, Nacht'Larn approached her as a possible mate, and she accepted, even knowing he would be a distant lover. That arrangement worked well for her, as she was far more content to sit and laze in the caverns than to go zooming about the nearby meadows and forests, let alone the volcanoes. As such, she needn't feel as though she takes Myste's time with Nacht'larn away from him.
