Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sky that Holds Clouds, also known as Sky, was the smallest of all the other hatchlings and was picked on often. The only hatchling that didn't pick on him was Whip that lashes like Lightning. They were the best of friends and still are. They practiced their flying and speed together. Sky never grew to the full size of an average adult Skywing but Whip still accepted him anyway. They are still the best of friends and they are both inseparable. In their childhood days, they got into a lot if trouble. They did all sorts of naughty things such as tripping dragons and scaring them out of their wits. Sky is still made fun of sometimes even as an adult but he has gotten over it and often jokes about it too. Sky has a mate named Angel that Loves All. They've had many children and have gotten to watch them live and grow. He is the twentieth dragon accepted into The Cave.
