Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Arched at the cave's entrance like a massive craggy gargoyle, this beast comes to life at any stranger's approach. His tough stony skin cracks and grates with each slow and ponderous motion, but he is obviously in no discomfort, intelligent eyes gleaming like hot coals to inspect interlopers with a keen and stern gaze. Gashes in the rock where he rests are testament to his interest in battle, and he eagerly confronts any who approach with intent to do harm. But to watch him fight is terrifying: he takes no joy in it, merely thrills in the fire of the fight itself, like a shark that does not feel passion for its hunt. Enormous stony claws rake and rend with terrible and surprising speed, but he will not kill unless his opponent refuses to submit. Otherwise he can be seen carving new paths in the back of the cavern, using the rocks as his food source and providing new dens for the ever-expanding tribe.
