Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For a time, the archangel's final creation was to be at hand.  The Patriarch and Matriarch of Sunrise, and the Patriarch of Sunset, had all taken their places at Lyzar's throne.  Only one remained, and Lyzar took up her feather quill.

As she worked fervently, the ink formed a majestic dragoness that would soar in the evening sky, inspiring both awe and fear.  As the Sunset Patriarch nodded his approval, Lyzar spoke the command and the parchment flared—the light forming into the very creature that she had drawn.  The Sunset Matriarch took her place next to her mate, and the archangel's work was complete.

The Matriarch is almost as territorial as her mate, but her skill comes not in physical prowess.  When she absorbs the rays of the setting sun, her wings and scutes flare a brilliant reddish gold—bright enough to cause permanent blindness to those who would dare anger her.
