Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the Mountains of Elgar a clan of dragons known as the High Family raised servants with the title of Posluga. Momus' was stolen by the clan as a hatchling from his caretaker, a human named Flight who lived in the wild mountains. The dragon was raised by Ouranos, a member of the High Family, to despise outsiders of their clan. As he matured Momus' personality centered on being sharp-tongued and ill-tempered, quick to criticize even those whom he serves. The only dragons he answers to are Chaos, leader of the High Family, and Nyx, a Hellfire. Momus represents blame in the Posluga.
