Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aerial is quite a bit more friendly than his brother, Pool. Unlike Pool, Aerial is actively willing to interact with his siblings, particularly Aero. While his elder sister definitely has a more firm relationship with their father, Aerial still manages to be close with her as well. He is a considerate dragon, able to put aside his own feelings and understand those of others instead. This is actually the opposite of Aero, who views the world through such a wide lens, that she ignores or disregards the problems others. But Aerial immerses himself in these mindsets to understand problems like Aero's social ineptitude. The two have a generally good relationship, more positive than Aero has with their other siblings. It should be noted that Aerial is a favorite of the Atmoswings and other high-flying dragons around their home island. Aerial is something of a safe haven, you're always safe to open up around him. The only one who doesn't like him is Pool, but, even then, the spite is his own.
