Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amala is the first offspring of Yang and Muzai, who love their golden girl with all their hearts. Her name means "Pure" in Hindi. Amala has always been a very sweet and timid dragon. She loves to sing, but doesn't like having an audience. She is one of the most beautiful dragons in the colony, with her golden scales attracting a lot of attention. Although she was sought after by many of the colony's males, only one ever caught her eye... Banji. Amala fell for Banji at the same time as Chistota, a much more outgoing female Golden Wyvern, and Amala's best friend. Amala felt that surely she stood no chance of receiving Banji's affection, but something surprising happened. Banji fell in love with both feisty Chistota AND timid Amala. On a beautiful fall night, Banji became mated to both of them. Chistota and Amala both love their mate with all their hearts, and he loves them just as much. They make a beautiful and glimmering family, and are so happy together, and always will be.
