Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tilpa doesn't look all that scary and she's really a very sweet dragon once one takes the time to get to know her, but Tilpa has a secret that she's really hoping none of the dragons in Lagie's caves ever find out. Tilpa likes to juggle mints. The dragons, not the candies. She's sure it's some warped gene that she inherited from her mother and she's tried, oh, so hard, to resist the temptation but some bright moonlit nights find her sneaking out into the wilderness to test her skills and find out just how many mints she can juggle in one go. So far, her record is seven.
