Kingcrownes are a mysterious and proud species, possessing some of the most beautiful and reflective scales of all dragons. Despite this, what is sought after most is not their scales, but the silk-like hairs that grow along their head, neck, and elbows. The hairs themselves have a magical shine, and are thought to have powerful healing properties when used in potions. The hairs of a Kingcrowne are even believed to bring good fortune to those who possess them. Though it is obvious that these dragons possess magical abilities, it is still not entirely clear what they are fully capable of. Most of a Kingcrowne’s time is spent grooming itself, keeping its scales and fur in top condition.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon had a lovely lair on the side of a dormant volcano until the volcano decided to come back to life. At first flying about it amazed and fascinated by the eruption, she quickly became dismayed when falling ash and glass particles damaged her scales. She was forced to fly with wounded wings until she reached an unaffected area where she could collapse and be tended by healers.

Her lair was covered over by the lava flow. Vollkainorrephujee plans to restore her lair as soon as she can, but it has been months since the eruption first began and the volcano does not show signs of calming down anytime soon. In the meantime, she has taken to intensively grooming herself and others left homeless by the lava, mostly trying to cover up scars left by the rain of volcanic debris as they evacuated their homes.
