Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Korestine is a stereotypical Lumina dragon. He's proud of his beauty and gleaming scales. As beautiful he already is, he wants to be strong. When he sees the attractiveness of strong muscular dragon breeds, it makes him jealous. He does everything he can to grow muscles: running, long distance flying, and lifting heavy boulders. He refuses to wrestle in fear that fighting will ruin his beautiful scales. He now looks more fit than the other Luminae, but it's not enough for him. He wants to look stronger.
