Haimatos Dragons are an aquatic breed of dragon, swimming deep in warmer months, but becoming much more active and friendly when it becomes cooler. During cooler months, groups of Haimatos are commonly seen near deltas and in large rivers. They are predominantly carnivorous, although in a few rare cases, have been seen eating plants in dire situations. If exposed to sicknesses at a young age, its skin becomes hardened with white and red plates, becoming less susceptible to illnesses.
Leuco Haimatos Dragons are the survivors of sickness, their spikes and coloration proof of their internal battle. Being the less common of the two and used to quarantine at a young age, they tend to be solitary or form small groups. As Leucos are more cautious and physically stronger, they stay around Erythro groups and protect them from threats.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
