Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Leisha is a patient, even-tempered dragon that can stay calm in the face of any disaster. This is why he became the second-in-command, and a sort of bodyguard, to the clan leader, Athia. Athia's son will never become clan leader, and as such, Leisha will step up to take the position should anything ever happen to Athia. Leisha is an excellent battler, though he prefers to use reasoning instead of his claws. Because of his skills, he helps command the clan's battalion of warrior dragons as well. When the power-crazed gold dragon, Eden, raided the cave and tried to steal control of the Anu clan, Leisha managed to protect most of the clan from the gold dragon's wrath. However Athia was nearly killed during that battle and Leisha has never forgiven himself for that. To this day he is trying to turn the rest of his clan mates against the gold dragon. He is plotting to kill Eden and bring Athia back into control.
