Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to sleep during the day and glow when it wakes up at night.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

SoftMoonStone is a prissy Moonstone Dragon hatchling. She always has to look nice and clean. She's very picky about what she eats, wanting only fresh fruit. Especially strawberries, strawberries are her favorite. And she's greedy. She wants presents of gems, gold, and flowers every day, without any cause or effort on her part. Her few friends are always being ordered to do this or not do that, and she always has to pick what they do. SoftMoonStone isn't really a very nice hatchling, and most of the hatchlings in her cave ignore her.
