Setsong Dragons wake with the setting of the sun. They can be found hunting during the night, only to vanish into their lairs once the sun begins to rise. Their glossy feathers and scales are a deep purple, but the evening sunlight reflects off of their bodies in a beautiful red-gold shimmer. Setsongs are reclusive dragons, found alone or in small groups, and are fiercely territorial--and loyal, protecting their hatchlings and group just as stubbornly as their hunting grounds. These dragons have a respectable ability to weave magic, but only once the sun has started to set: the daylight weakens their magical powers, and their spells are most potent at night.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Every evening, after he has finished hunting, Kudari builds a small fire pit and lines it with mana crystals and sweet-smelling wood. Over the course of the night, he is visited by other members of the family who are active during the darkness hours. While the locations of the fire pits change often and are generally kept secret, it is common knowledge that if someone brings enough food, they are welcome to cook it in the pit and partake of the other morsels that have been shared. Sometimes hatchlings show up with piles of bugs or a sack of fruits, and while Kudari was skeptical at first, eventually he agreed to show his younger siblings how to grill smaller snacks. Usually only a few dragons show up for these fire pit cookouts, but Kudari finds he prefers the quieter company.
