Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zhaet has always been a very chill dragon. Bright light tends to hurt his eyes, so he sleeps away as much daylight as he possibly can. However, he is very active at night, and enjoys long moonlight flights as well as drifting through clouds. One thing that sets Zhaet apart from other dragons is his love of music. He creeps close to the little humans playing it without being seen, sometimes with more success than others. He doesn't understand how those silly little wooden, metal, and stringed things make such pleasing noises, but Zhaet loves it anyways. He would love to learn how to make these sounds himself, but he can't learn from the people because he always frightens them away!
