Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Painted Masterpiece was found abandoned right on the verge of death by one of the dragons from the cave. The white dragons in the cave tried their best to save her, but they couldn't find anything physically wrong with her. It wasn't until the magi dragon, Skyward Gazer, saw her that the problem was discovered. Skyward Gazer discovered that it was an out of control magical ability that was killing her. She had the ability to transfer her life energy into other living creatures. With the help of Skyward Gazer she managed to learn to control her ability, but her ability is still rather dangerous. If she lets out too much energy she becomes dangerously weak, but not enough leaves her with unmanageable levels of energy coursing through her body. Keeping her ability in check is a chore, but it is an extraordinary advantage in battle. During a battle she can lend her energy to tired and injured warriors to help them continue fighting much longer after they would ordinarily expire.
