Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being the first Gold of the horde has given Vyx a bit of a big head. He's started a large family of Golds in the horde as well, and he takes his job as patriarch quite seriously. Vyx is a relaxed sort of layabout for the most part, and is generally very easygoing. He's confident and a little ambitious, but his heart's in the right place, though his mind may be directed elsewhere with ease. Vyx can be a little suspicious of outsiders, but when they prove themselves to him, he'll gladly welcome them with open arms. He's very honorable and would rather die than do something that would bring shame upon his line, and chivalry is not dead in his heart. He's a little scatterbrained, but Vyx always knows what he's doing...for the most part.
