Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

ShadedGolden is a shiny little Gold Dragon hatchling. He is a lighter color of gold than many of the other Golds in his cave, and is perhaps even shinier than others. Human poachers would certainly love to get their hands on his little hide, those golden scales would fetch a high price. Lucky his owner, a human wizard, keeps a close eye on ShadedGolden, as do the many Guardian Dragons on the Guard of his cave.
