And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

You Batch Of Cookies- Preferably Batch- was never really loved as a young hatchling. After she hatched, and was old enough to be determined of her gender, was ignored, for most of the dragons were hopeful to welcome a male into the cave. Even MoonShoneScroll, The nursery dragon was quite disappointed. Being so, Batch was neglected, especially hated by GoldenTwist, the other drake in the cave. Her happy ending finally came, one day, when Klow7 decided she should have a place in the cave. Klow7 Froze this young hatchling, and ordered the others to get along with the frozen hatchling. Obediently, they did. And grew to like her.! Now she lives happily, her best friend being FrozenDemon.
