Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. After most of Crystal Tiger Stripe's nomadic herd chose to remain on the island home of Shield Tail and Dark Drakon's herd, Crystal Tiger Stripe's loyal follower, Sail Back, took it upon himself to find other dragons to accompany them, hoping it would help alleviate Crystal Tiger Stripe's loneliness. Among these dragons was Emerald Tiger Stripe. This Green Striped dragon is soft-spoken and is usually the last one to express his opinions. However, he is also firmly set in his ways, and it takes a lot to make him change his mind. He often gets annoyed with Ruby Tiger Stripe and Sapphire Tiger Stripe, since they have made it their life mission to make him more flexible, but he still would risk life and limb for them both.
