When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fast As A Shark had to earn his name at a very early age. Being swept into the ocean, away from his parents, he had to take care of himself and learn to outswim any sharks or other predators. Despite the superior speed and agility he gained, he avoids other males of his species, and prefers to wait until he finds a single female or group of only females. He isn't afraid of any comparison between him and other males, he just loves to be the only rooster in the yard. As every female is equally beautiful to him, he courts each and every one he meets; he isn't as fickle as it sounds though, he may swim off after he is done wooing one girl, but if he ever hears of any of his former conquests being in trouble he'll be there to help at once, without expecting anything in return (which, of course, is a great way to impress any other females who happen to be nearby).
