Sophos Cantormaris Dragons are a kind, caring breed of coastal-dwellers. Their annual migrations at the start of spring are among the first indications that winter has ended. They use their melodic calls to lure people with a yearning for enlightenment to them in a desire to help and share their vast knowledge to those in need. It is considered a sign of luck for one to hear their calls.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ssenly is fascinated by Dragonhaven Island's impossibly large library, which is housed in an enchanted building-sized seashell. He'll use any excuse to see inside, even bribing Zephyrus Couriers or Swiftwind Messengers to give him their parchment and paper deliveries to deliver himself. Ssenly's ultimate goal is to commission someone at Dragonhaven Island or the Goldenmage Assembly to make a smaller shell library to keep in or near his lair and fill with his hoard of books. All he needs now is sufficient funds and the perfect shell.
