Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Suril is Calsuray's devoted mate, and chose exile from Highrock Weyr to be with her, much to Olinbar's dismay and anger (Suril being the only other adult dragon left at Highrock who could hunt).  He has very precise control over rocks, and can even manipulate individual sand grains.  Suril began "carving" (sandblasting) rocks in hopes of trading with the local humans for food, and perhaps convincing them in the process that dragons can be trusted.  He hopes, with luck, to maybe even convince Olinbar someday to reopen Highrock's boundaries.
