Sabertooth Bull Drakes are brutish creatures named for their large tusks, sharp spines, and aggressive natures. Despite their small size, these drakes are not to be underestimated or trifled with as their bodies are primed for close combat. Even their wings, seemingly their most fragile limbs, contain sharp struts used to impale dragons that challenge them. Despite all this, these drakes live in close knit groups and display great affection and loyalty among themselves. This bond can be easily shared with humans if raised from eggs or bribed with mushrooms, their favorite treat.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Chuoso's current pack happens to share living space with a young witch-in-training, who was practicing growing enchanted fungi for potion-making. Said witch was initially wary of her mushroom garden being invaded by the roughhousing drakes, but she soon found that so long as she kept her main growing area protected by spells, the drakes would happily keep to their own spots and moreover, guard the area for her as well. Chuoso himself was appointed leader of the pack due to his particularly ferocious growl, and he is constantly trotting at the heels of his witch friend whenever she tends to the mushrooms. Passersby considering mischief are rapidly discouraged by Chuoso and his entire pack staring menacingly at them if they get too close to the witch and her tasty chanterelles.
