And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A youngster who acts far older than she is, this tiny seaside dweller is loaded with an endless array of advice. Such sage remarks as "if you are a pig, do not eat bacon" and "the white haired boy ALWAYS dies, baka" have utterly impressed her similarly aged comrades, inspiring them to new levels of existence and encouraging them to do their best every day. Of course, being such a regal wisewoman is hard work, so she can often be found napping under her parents' wings to recover!
