Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pink Dragon has never had a real name. From the time he arrived at Shadow's cave he already had the established nickname of "Pink", and since he knew he was a dragon he came up with his name. Somewhat social Pink enjoys hunting at night when he must use his other senses to find prey and not rely solely on sight. When he was a hatching he received a nasty paper cut which led to his papyrophobia. That is why he avoids the paper dragons and shies away when they approach.
