Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. No matter where it goes or what you do, you find this hatchling staring at you.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Found by his owner as an abandoned egg, he's been terrifying her ever since. Whether he's acting on his bizarre habit of crawling around with butt raised and head plastered to the floor or hiding underneath her bed blankets, she only has to turn slowly around to see him staring at her, always staring... at which point his owner squeaks in terror and promptly throws a towel over him. Lately she has procured a Magi hatchling and often keeps the two together, relieved to see that they prefer holding creepy staring contests with each other rather than her.
