Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Light-hearted and inquisitive, this dragon was born with the curse of a hide that was too dark for comfort in the sun and too brightly marked for hunting in the shadows.  While his twin sister Nightbell chose to sleep in the daytime, Kzip chose to live in and near the water, dining on mosquitoes and dragonflies instead of her sister's moths or his other siblings' flies and beetles.

Like his father Lzip, Kzip is fascinated by mystery and loves to puzzle out the secrets of the unknown.  Different from his father, he tends to find such things himself at the bottom of lakes and rivers, and he has no interest in things not found in the water.  He leaves his treasures in underwater caves where other dragons will not find them, training to hold his breath for longer and longer so he can study them there in peace.
