Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Kyss has a passion for music and can be often heard greeting each new day in song. Her songs vibrate and rebound across the entire territory and on clear days can even be heard in human settlements. Kyss's singing always lifts the heart of anyone who hears it, regardless of their species. She has even been seen to dance, rearing onto her hind legs and twirling gracefully with the summer breeze. Many humans have ventured into the territory in order to glimpse the dancing dragon.<br/>A rumour has started among the humans that bestowing one of Kyss's scales upon your loved one will ensure a long and happy relationship. This has resulted in a number of brave human youths trawling after Kyss attempting to obtain one of these precious items.  <br/>Only one boy has managed to acquire a scale so far. He spent many days following Kyss, watching her movements and bidding his time. When the moment was right, he gathered his nerve, bravely confronted her and politely asked for one. Kyss gladly agreed.
