Considered heralds of ill fortune, Omen Wyrms are usually found in areas previously ravaged by disaster or strife, blending in amongst the foliage. Due to the unique appearance and texture of their bodies, they often pass as dead trees as they wait for unsuspecting prey. Their haunting cry—like that of a hollow-sounding horn—is a sure signal to run: it is always followed by the dragons’ furious wrath, which manifests in the form of fiery cascades. Escape from an Omen Wyrm is possible, however; it is said they will not dare follow their quarry across running water, no matter the cause of their vexation.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While Suuza typically enjoys spending her days in relative lack of motion, simply waiting for prey to scamper by, she does feel a need for a change of scenery every year or so. During the middle of autumn, she will leave her current area of desolation and go disaster shopping, so to speak, for a new place to call home until she tires of it. Throughout her travels she has seen plenty of different ruined landscapes, ranging from the quickly recovering forests to the bogs that remain abandoned for decades. Suuza particularly enjoys the bogs. There is something about the ambient smell that makes her feel content and cozy.
