And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kaizur has an odd obsession with a certain aerial maneuver called a 'Barrel Roll'. At random points in the day, he has instructed his clan to yell, "Do a barrel roll!" so he can easily practice his favorite aerodynamic move. His clan finds this pointless and silly, but Kaizur knows that one day foes will attack and his beloved barrel roll will save him! He claims that it will be the next big thing in a few thousand years or so.
