Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sandslash never thought that the fighting against other males of his own kind was very productive. Of course he would fight over the right to mate with whomever he wanted, but he never killed another dragon even in his most aggressive moments. For the longest time Sandslash didn't believe in killing anything for any other reason than food and reigned his natural aggression in.

And then he found a leaflet signed with the paw print of one of the clan's Mints. And he read it. At first he couldn't make much sense out of it. Z.O.O., F.A.D and pens were things he had never heard of before. But the longer he read the pamphlet, the angrier he got. HUMANS keeping DRAGONS as PETS in captivity were absolutely unacceptable.

Sandslash now travels far and wide and wherever he finds a situation even remotely reminding him of the things he learned of in the leaflet, the humans don't live to regret it.
