Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. When He Who is Treasured was born he brought great joy to the other dragons because of the lack of male dragons in the clan. However, because of the attention he was constantly given, He Who is Treasured became greedy and cruel. He views several of the female dragons as his possessions and will often forbid them from socializing with other males. He is abusive to the timid Metea, causing many dragons to view him as not only mean, but evil. The Ochredrake Reina has many times attempted to have him expelled from the clan. However, their leader, the naive Eternus Divum insists that he is able to change.
