Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unicorn Daze is a very beloved dragon for her story. As a child, her brother was killed by a cruel golden wyvern dragon. Since her parents left her alone with her brother, Cloud, she left in search of her parents. She was starving, and she needed rest. She went to the sky where she could find a cloud to sleep on for that night, but she couldn't find one large enough for her whole body to fit. She sat on the highest one, but she fell through. She screamed, terrified of falling into the ocean bellow, where she couldn't swim. But then, she landed on something soft, and under her was the largest cloud she had ever been on. To this day she believes that the large cloud was Cloud reaching out to her, from where ever he is, in the form of a life-saving cloud.
