Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Scrollwyrm is a dragon of logic and order. Shadowdrake knew well that xe would be the perfect dragon to keep record of facts, and thus gave xim the task of recording details on the Ophidian Clan, as well as its offshoots, such as the Fantasy Clan. Because xe knew xe couldn't gather all the information by ximself, Scrollwyrm asked the other resident dragons to aid xim. Ether was the one who enchanted xir scroll of parchment to become telepathically connected to xim, allowing xim to update information instantly. The local pygmies, skywings, and whiptails often send xim messages and help xim keep the scrolls data up to date. At the request of some others, xe has also begun recording lineages and the offspring of the clan dragons, sometimes traveling far to other dragon dens and weyrs to trace a long lineage. Xir only problem is that xe refuses to speak with truly wild dragons, fearing their teeth, claws, and inherently feral nature.
