Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has brightly colored fins on its back.

And look! It has grown larger fins! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Danger loves getting into trouble. She causes mayhem where ever she goes. She steals food from other dragons when they're not looking and destroys the nest on a regular basis. She has even been blamed for the start of some wild fires. Not many of the other hatchlings want to play with Danger because of her bad reputation, so she ends up sending most of her time alone. Even when she does try to make friends, other dragons think she is trying to make them her next target.
