Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aquasapphire is a very mischievous skywing. Among all the dragons that her owner has, she is one of the most difficult ones to control. Although she is not dangerous, it is better to stay away from her. She is a very active dragon and several attempts have been made to break her, all in vain. She loves her owner but shows no signs of obedience. Most times she is seen flying in the sky all alone, other times she races any dragons that she sees. When sleepy, she descends to the ground and curls up either next to or around her owner or fellow dragons. She loves to snuggle up with male specimens of her breed and, when sleeping alone, needs a warm blanket during the night because the cold winds so high up freeze her lungs and her body becomes cold.
