Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

DarkMoonDream is a playful and talkative Black Dragon hatchling. His best friend is ClimbingGreenVine, a Vine Dragon hatchling. Even though ClimbingGreenVine is rooted to the ground, the two boys are always playing and mentally chatting. DarkMoonDream talks almost nonstop, while ClimbingGreenVine is more of a mental listener. They love to play catch with large melons as toys. Though they both end up sticky with melon pulp at the end, this is their favorite game.
