Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Pinkie was never really accepted by her Pebble clan-mates, for deep within her heart she always believed herself to be a wonderous Pink dragon. From the moment she first laid eyes on one of the much brighter dragons, she found herself disbelieving that she ever truly belonged as a Pebble dragon. However her steely resolve has landed her in quite the predicament, with her clan-mates now calling her crazy as Pinkie attempts to prove that she is once and for all truly a Pink dragon at heart.
