Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Punk, who thinks of himself as male, can often be found sitting outside of Kanaye's room, hoping to catch a beat or a lyric of some of her heavier punk rock. He isn't sure exactly where the music comes from, nor does he care. If she goes too long without listening to it, he starts singing the lyrics to himself, and every dragon within range.

Kanaye only allows his presence, and his singing, due to the fact that the combination scares off most of the weaker willed dragons who would otherwise come to her complaining about every little thing.
