Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
One day Gomorath was surprised to learn that he was 'immune' to the fate that all other Nocturne dragons suffer during the day. He flew through clouds and over waves, enjoying every bit the spears of sunlight warming his hide. But as he was flying he suddenly found that his wings began to stiffen and any attempts to change direction revealed that his tail was too. He was barely able to glide to the ground before stiffening completely. Frozen at noon, all he could do was to wait for the sun to come down so he could move again but this did not happen. He sat there for six hours in a panic unable to move and not knowing when, or if, he would ever unfreeze. Come midnight he was finally able to move again and flying back to his cave he decided to avoid any future daylight flights until he can figure what on earth is going on.
