Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Conceited, lazy, and massive, this dragon is the thing of good people's nightmares. Alternating his time between flirting mercilessly with the ladies and going about causing chaos, he's become quite infamous in the lands he inhabits, especially when his habit of occasionally snacking on people is considered. But beneath all the vanity and the lust and the cruelty lurks an entirely different breed of creature. Once gentle and affectionate, Lucian witnessed his parent's deaths at the hands of humans at a very young age. Blaming his own weakness for their fates, and vowing to protect his younger siblings from ever experiencing the same, he confused strength with sadism and became quite the monster in the process of becoming a powerful guardian. And so he continues on as a villain, believing it's the only way to protect what remains of his family, while his kinder side falls ever further and further into the dark.
