Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lyindulaey is rather timid for her kind, often looked down on by her older sister, Dey-inyathrol. Good friends with FireFlare, a Magi dragon, the two will often wander the volcanic and alpine regions of the island in search of distressed hatchlings to cheer up, wild or not. As with all Golden Wyverns, she kills as few creatures as possible, sometimes asking if FireFlare has the ability to 'extract' certain minerals and vitamins from animals that have too much of those particular nutrients. She is also in a happy relationship with a young harvest dragon, Summers Crop.
