Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sssasssha has a light and bubbly personality, but she is also very headstrong and stubborn. She's also proud and arrogant, and when she was a hatchling she swore that she would only take the best mate for herself. When a Heartseeker dragon named Bittersweet Fins came into the cave and saw four male Sunsongs without mates, and Sssasssha herself alone, he attempted to pair her with Solaipse,

But a Heartseeker dragon! Rare, majestic, handsome...Sssasssha had already rejected Solaipse, and the other three Sunsongs, and she rejected them again and began to go after Bitterfin. Weeks of her displays in the sky finally caught his eye, and the young Heartseeker dragon fell in love with the graceful Sunsong. Despite Sssasssha's selfish, prideful intentions, she began to love Bitterfin for who he was and not for his breed. And despite Sssasssha's flaws, Bitterfin adores her.

The two dragons are hardly ever apart, though Bitterfin cannot fly and Sssasssha hardly ever leaves the air.
