Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sparky, wild and mysterious, Elleverero inspires artists throughout Valkemare with her acrobatics and stunning displays of lightning, which are visible perfectly from the black cliffs of Sanguir.

However, few know the origins of this dragon, and the origin behind her mysterious ability to move any artist, and that comes from an incident that occurred many millennia ago.

Long ago, Elleverero was a brilliant human painter, who shared her immense knowledge of the art wherever she went. Over the years, she became increasingly critical of authority, so her art took on this idea as well. One of her paintings went on to become indirectly responsible for a massive rebellion by several slave populations. Distraught, a bunch of evil men killed Elleverero with lightning magic, but her spirit lived on and eventually was reborn as a Thunder Dragon. To this day, she still wishes for equality and peace among humans, but often she believes this is a lost wish and a foolish idea to entertain.
