Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "She brings poison". Analeta was devastated when she heard of MwakoNgozi's death. This meant she finally could stop killing the eggs of the poor, oppressed parents! Analeta set off the next week after her and the other soldier Vampires discussed their plans of the new life ahead of them.

With the new moon, the night looked stunning as a mass of Vampires prepared to leave that old life behind. Something however had plummeted almost out of nowhere and took Usiku straight out of the sky. With Usiku in trouble, the rest of the Vampires frenzied back down to the ground to knock off whatever had attacked him.

It was all a trap. The monstrous creature that knocked Usiku out cold was a dragon none of them had ever seen. There were four of them, circling the Vampires like rabid sharks. And out from the darkness crawled out a most terrible dragon of them all; a gaunt, half dead looking Marrow dragon. The Vampires didn't stand a chance. And so the Vampires became slaves again.
