Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonbeam loves nothing more than lunar surfing, a sport only practised by nocturnal dragons and fae. In a cloudy night one has to wait for an opening in the cloud cover, while flying as high as possible. Once such an opening appears the dragon (or fairy) binds itself to the beams of moon light via magic and glides downwards as fast as possible. This is of course a slightly dangerous sport as one has to hope that the clouds close up before one hits the ground at top speed, and one has to avoid nights that clear up too quickly, lest one is caught in the lit up sky until the moon sets. Moonbeams is the clan's lunar surfing champion and has beat several fairies from the surrounding lands.
